Zeolite is a "new" soil amendment that's found in nature. It is a product that holds water and fertilizer and slowly returns it to the medium as the medium dries out. Why haven't we used it before? Well, we didn't know about it before. It's something that's been around for millions of years, but is just now being acknowledged by the powers to be as an excellent additive to your soil mix.
