- Great for Beginners
Overall Rating Quality ValueI teach beginners bonsai classes and started handing these out as a quick pocket reference guide to my students for once they have their plants at home. It is easy to understand, gives great info and works perfect for the beginner. Plus, it is an inexpensive book making it great to give out with my classes. I certainly recommend it for beginners and beyond.
- DB did a fine job!
Overall Rating Quality ValuePositives: DB had a live body at the telephone to accept and help me with my order. (Your East Coast competitor's recorded message informed me that a potential customer's telephoned enquiry could take a day or two to answer. I have a preference for the live as opposed to the recorded response.) DB had every component of my order in stock. DB informed me on its packing slip of the possibility and likely duration of the interval between the arrival of components of my order—and delivery was complete within its prediction. The Chinese elm and ginkgo biloba that I ordered arrived in fine fettle.
Negative: virtually none. I came home to find my wife up to her neck in styrofoam pellets that had burst from her ginkgo's box and commenting sharply about the inundation. I know nothing of the craft of packing, still it seems to me that improvement could yet be made in regard to ease and neatness of unpacking.
Summary: DB did a fine job and we look forward to cosseting our bonsais into the indefinite future.
