What tools & supplies do I need?

For beginners we recommend using our balanced fertilizer & vitamin combo to keep your plant healthy and that you provide clean, filtered water as required.

Both of these essential items have been paired together in our Fujiyama Starter Kit which we recommend purchasing along with your tree giving you a complete setup. The product arrived super fast and intact even after I failed to pick it up at my local post office for 3 days. Beautiful healthy tree. I've ordered from other sites and this site tops them all. First time ordering but it won't be my last.
Great source for starter plants!

I have ordered many Japanese Maples thru Dallas Bonsai and have been very impressed with their stock. There is some variation in each of the plants, but the guys at Dallas Bonsai are serious about their satisfaction guarantee. Dallas Bonsai ships plants in their original containers and soil (some other suppliers make questionable choices to reduce shipping weight and cost). One bit of feedback I will offer for those of us who live outside the 1-2 day (ground shipping) range of Dallas, TX is to upgrade the shipping beyond what they offer for free. Considering the amount of care you will put into your new plant, it is definitely worth the extra cost.

They sent me exactly what they had said in the description! It did come later than I had expected, but it was due to some internet outage that they later reported they had had around the time I ordered it. Trust me, you won't be disappointed buying from Dallas Bonsai!

I ordered 2 trident maples. They arrived in great condition (no leaf loss & still green). About 8 in. tall, tip-pruned & lots of side branches. I planted thm in the ground to let them thicken up before attempting to begin their bonsai training. Hopefully in about 5/6 yrs they'll be the size i want. Now i just have to be patient:)
